From AIS Bulletin #185 April 1967 Introducing BLUE NOTE (((TRANQUILITY X WHITE BOUQUET) X ((SNOW BALLET X BLUE ENSIGN) x BLUE THROAT))) Beautifully formed, shimmering blue-white flower accented by a thick blue beard. A ruffled, heavily substanced self, wide of parts, with arched standards and semi-flaring falls. Good, well-branched stalks. A welcome addition to the small class of whites with blue beards. Beards really add zest to an iris. Midseason. 35". HC 1964. Net $25.00. Echo Hill Gardens. |
