From Sass catalog, 1937: BLACKMOOR (Jacob Sass, 1932)- One of the finest dark blue purples. Almost black when newly opened, lightening to blackish violet of uniform coloring. A free bloomer of great size. (Honorable Mention, 1931). 75c
BLACKAMOOR. Nearly black until half opened, then taking on deepest blue tints, with a blue beard. A giant flower on a tall and heavy stalk finely branched. Each $12.00 _[Cooley's Wholesale pricelist, 1932]
