From AIS Bulletin #169, April 1963. BLACK NITIE-TB, Midseason, 30" $20.00. A breathtaking black purple, highlighted by a luminescent green sheen, and a golden beard that sets it apart from other blacks! The large, perfectly formed flower reminds one of shimmering black satin draped on a beautiful frame, hence the name. Fertile both ways, and is proving to be a good breeder for green buds that might lead to that green iris. Sdlg. #4-4-19-6. H.C. '59. $20.00. Z. Benson. |
