1996, Nebeker

'Black Falls' (Don Nebeker, R. 1995). Seedling# 1135-17. TB, 38-40" (97-107 cm). Midseason bloom. Standards dark spectrum violet (HCC 735); style arms dark violet purple (733); falls black (darker than 0001060); beards spectrum violet, hairs tipped saffron yellow; ruffled. Blackout' X seedling# 1076-10: ('Graduation' x ('Fancy Tales' x 'Planned Treasure')). Zebra 1996. Honorable Mention 1998.

From AIS Bulletin #301 April 1996 Introducing BLACK FALLS (Nebeker '96) TB M 38" Black-black falls! No hint of red or blue on gently ruffled, semi-flaring black falls. Dark blue violet standards and style arms. Dark violet beards/hairs tipped saffron yellow. Nicely branched with 7+ buds. Black doesn't fade, burn, or water spot! Blackout X Sdlg 1076-10 (1135-17). $35.00. Zebra Gardens.
