'Bells Are Ringing' (James McWhirter, R. 1992). Seedling# J85-29-2. TB, 36" (91 cm). Midseason bloom. Ruffled deep sky blue; beards blue, tipped white; slight fragrance. 'Winterscape X 'Ramona Howard'. Cottage 1993. Honorable Mention 1996.

From AIS Bulletin #289 April 1993 Introducing BELLS ARE RINGING (McWhirter) 33", M. Heavily ruffled deep sky blue with self beards tipped white. Compact flowers displayed on near-perfect stalks with typically three open blooms. $35.00. Cottage Gardens.
