'Avenue Of Dreams' (Barry Blyth, R. 2009). Seedling# Q98-1. TB, 40" (102 cm), Early to late bloom. Standards opalescent creamy pink becoming opalescent lavender-pink at midrib; falls light rosy magenta, 1/8" edge of soft pinkish lilac; beards tangerine in throat, soft blue-lilac at end; pronounced sweet fragrance. Seedling# N211-5, 'Art At Dawn' sibling, X seedling# O21-1: ('Paris Fashion' x seedling# H165-9, 'Aflutter' sibling). Tempo Two 2112/2013.

Hybridizer's Comment: Just the most delightful pinkish magenta toned iris we have ever raised. Standards are opalescent creamy pink to opalescent lavender-pink at the midrib. Falls are light pinkish to rosy magenta with an 1/8th edge of pinkish lilac. Beards are tangerine in the throat and the outer 1/2" is soft blue lilac. The whole flower has a blue and rose pink effect. Very unusual and gorgeous. Super branching with loads of buds and lovely form. It also has a sweet perfume. Will set pods but is difficult. We think it could lead to lots of blue and pink combinations and we have marked a few selections from it already.
