From AIS Bulletin #229, Spring 1978 Introducing AUTUMN FESTIVAL-Sdlg. 5173B. (Conversation Piece X Starring Role). Light honey brown. Domed standards are full and ruffled. The wide, flaring, opulently fluted falls match the color of the standards and stylearms, but have a hint of yellow blending into the yellow beard. Heavily substanced and beautifully poised blooms are on well-branched stalks. An iris with sparkling personality. Midseason to late, 34". HC 1977. $25.00. Echo Hill Garden.
