ORIGINAL CATALOG DESCRIPTION: From Fleur De Lis Gardens catalog, 1964: ARPEGGIO (Tompkins 1964) E.VL. 42 in. (Elysian Gold x Full Voltage). An extremely vivid, true yellow of an intense shade, between deep golden lemon and Dandelion yellow with a self-colored beard. Though this is from plicata breeding, the only sign of this ancestry seems to be a negligably small ray-like pattern of white deep in the throat. The strong, tall stalks-often four-branched, carry a veritable cascade of flowers of large size which have the heaviest substance and ruffling we have ever seen in a yellow. Hardy and a good grower.No. 60-128. Net $25.00 |
