From AIS Bulletin #213 April 1974 Introducing ARCTIC SUNSET (Sdlg. 69-29B). TB, 37", Mid. ((Rippling Waters x Gypsy Lullaby) X (Benson 64-39: May Hall x Lynn Hall)) X (Salmon Shell x Pink Fulfillment)). Very large Dawn Pink Self (Wilson 523/2). Brick red beard (Wilson 016/1). Wide overlapping standards and clean wide falls are lightly ruffled and semi-flared. Excellent branching on unusually heavy stalk carry eight to ten very large beautifully formed heavy substanced clean, smooth-textured blooms. Very sturdy growing habits with large deep green foliage. Has proven a good parent for vigorous seedlings, a trait needed in pink breeding. HC '72. $25.00. Marvin Olson. |
