From AIS Bulletin #236 January 1980 Introducing APRIL HOPE ('80) M, 92 em, #85-3A, Bicolor $25.00. Standards are a clean, crisp yellow-orange, ruffled and domed. The falls are violet, veined with a deeper violet. There is a 1/4" light brown rim around the falls, which are fluted and serrated. Rich yellow beard is backed by a yellow, highly serrated crest. The area around and above the stamen repeats the violet color of the falls. It is a vigorous grower, has excellent branching and many blooms. Most attractive in a clump. Gibson Iris Garden. |
