From Carl Salbach catalog 1941: APHRA (Mitchell-Salbach 1941). Seedling x Jean Cayeux. At last a fine, large, pure old gold self. Blooms of the same form as those of the famous Frieda Mohr, beautifully poised on tall, low branching stems. Both standards and falls are of the same general color except that there is a heavy veining of yellow at the base of the falls. A vigorous grower and an exceptionally free bloomer. An iris of distinction and great refinement. Only a few rhizomes available this season. Mid-season. 48". $10.00. |
