| From Tell's Iris Garden catalog, 1951: AMAZON TAN (Hillson '49). M. (Prairie Sunset) x (Hill sdlg. involving Sass lines x Sandalwood). The most beautiful giant light golden tan we have ever seen. Falls flare horizontally. Truly a magnificent iris. We predict great things for it when better known. Impressed me as one of the top five iris seen at the 1950 Sioux City convention. By far the best Prairie Sunset seedling I have seen. Limited stock. $5.00. |
