'Almost Heaven' (O. David Niswonger, R. 1996). Seedling 58-92. TB, 38" (97 cm), Midseason bloom. Mauve pink self; beards blue. 'Blue Chip Pink' X 'Fontaine'. Cape Iris 1997. Honorable Mention 1999.

From AIS Bulletin #305 April 1997 Introducing ALMOST HEAVEN (Niswonger'97) Sdlg.58-92: Blue Chip Pink X Fontaine. TB, 38" (97 cm), M. This mauve pink self is from my "pink with blue beard" line. The beard is blue and the plant is hardy and vigorous. It was judged best in its Section in St. Louis at the Region 18 meeting in 1993. It is fertile both ways. $35.00. Cape Iris.
