From Carl Salbach catalog 1946: ALBA SUPERBA (J. Sass). Pure white with very large blooms of heavy substance on tall stiff well branched stems. One of the best whites, but not a rapid increaser. Only a few rhizomes this year. 40". Mid- season. $20.00.
ALBA SUPERBA (J. Sass) is another white I liked even better this year than last. It has nice form and branching. McKee, William (1943). Noteworthy New Iris in New England, American Iris Society Bulletin, 90 (July 1943), 12.
