| From AIS Bulletin #181 April 1966 Introducing ALADDIN'S FIRE-Dr. Branch. Sdlg. 6095. (Involving CHANTILLY, DREAM GIRL, DREAM DUST, and Dave Hall and Dr. Branch's pink blood line seedlings). 28", EM. THE FIRST tall bearded PINK PLICATA to be offered to the public and hybridizers. It represents ten years of breeding efforts by Dr. Branch to bring out the elusive pink plicata gene markings in a tall bearded iris. The closed standards are solid rose-pink; white falls are delicately stippled on the edges in rose-pink, with a bright tangerine beard on the flared and lightly ruffled falls. It is being released at a moderate price so hybridizers and pollen daubers can use this pink plicata in future programs of this color class many have bred for. $15.00. Robert Young. |
