From Mid-America Garden catalog, 2009: ACT SURPRISED (Black ‘10) TB Midseason-Late 36” (91cm). Act Surprised is a lovely light pink and orchid bicolor with tangerine to white beards ending in short, hairy orchid horns. Nicely ruffled flowers open easily without distortion as is common in so many space agers. Strong growth produces show stalks with 3 branches and a spur providing 9-10 buds. Makes a lovely clump. Stalks are placed throughout the clump so each flower is showcased and not all bunched together. Act Surprised is a quality child of the very popular 'Announcement'. It is a quality parent for space age seedlings. Sdlg. L124A: (To the Point x (Gladys Austin x (Piping Hot x Skyhooks))) X Announcement. $50.00.
