'Act Of Love' (Joseph Ghio, R. 1979). Seedling# 74-67Z. TB, 36" (91 cm), Late midseason bloom. Ripe cranberry raspberry self; tangerine beard. Seedling# 70-35S: 'Bicentennial' sibling X 'Malaysia'. Bay View Gardens 1980. Honorable Mention 1982.

From Bay View Gardens catalog,1979: ACT OF LOVE. 36 inches, mid to late season. $25.00. A warm, yet refreshing, very ripe cranberry-raspberry with broad, expansive form. The color is evenly applied with a metallic sheen which adds a rare lustre to this heavy-petalled seductor. It is topped off with a tangerine beard, good branching, and reliable floriferousness. The rhizomes are medium-sized. Advanced generations from this line of breeding, give strong indication that it could well culminate with that elusive red so long sought but never obtained. No. 74-672 (Bicentennialsib X Malaysia).
