Section Oncocyclus ; 12-20" (30-50 cm). Very early bloom. Color Code-S8D; "Flower very large, often 15 cm wide; tube 7 cm long; falls 6-7 cm, round-ovate, with a creamy ground, thickly covered with a large, more or less circular patch (with a dark-brown rim) of blackish-red-purple. Standards orbicular, 7-8 cm, slightly serrate, with a white ground except at the yellowish base, veins blue, more or less thickly covered, especially at the edges with prominent, purple dots, the claw, of the fused lines, dark-red-brown. Style-branches marked with reddish-brown spots, on a creamy ground.
