(SPEC) Iris fumosa Boiss. & Haussk. ex Baker (now= Iris aucheri)
1877, Boissier & Haussknecht
Iris fumosa (
Edmond Boissier and
Heinrich Caral Hausskneckt ex Baker, 1877) and Boissier In Flor. Or. v. p. 122 (1884)
Dykes notes in his Genus Iris (1914); "There does not seem to be any good reason for separating this from Iris sindjarensis of which it is probably only a colour variety. I. sindjarensis itself is variable in its growth. In some specimens the flowers and leaves are crowded together, in others the internodes are slightly longer and the inflorescence correspondingly less congested. The type of Iris fumosa seems to have been aspecimen of this kind with smoky, yellowish flowers"
