| From Cooper's Garden catalog 1983: DOTTIE'S DOUBLE I. virginlca Shreve! collected in Ohio by Dorothy Warrel. This Is the first double of the species that we have heard of and it is attractive: six orchid-lavender falls, conspicuous orange-yellow signals surrounded by a white area. Foliage is erect, dark green, stained purple at the base; sturdy stems, floriferous. $12.50. It has produced double seedlings. |
