■ (SPEC) 'Dazzling Eyes'

2004, Tasco

'Dazzling Eyes' ( Richard Tasco, R. 2004). Seedling #98-UNG-01. SPEC (unguicularis), height 9" (23 cm). Early to late bloom. Medium violet self; Standards burgundy red inside extreme base; style arms lighter violet with gold beading on edges; falls have precise lined haft markings ending in a bold blue and white watermark, lower edges have silver margins, long yellow gold signal ending in a white fork pattern. I. unguicularis subspecies cretensis X possibly "Monardera". Superstition 2004.

From AIS Bulletin #333 April 2004 Introducing DAZZLING EYES (Tasco 2004) SPEC-X (unguicularis), 9", EML Seedling # 98-UNG-01. Medium violet self with a precise lined haft pattern ending in a bold blue and white watermark. Yellow gold center stripe which ends with a white forked spear; lower edge of falls have a thin silver margin. Inside base of standards are burgundy red. Blooms intermittently here from late October through mid-March. (I. ssp Cretensis X unknown large flowered unguicularis clone (possibly Monardera)). Recommended for USDA zone 7 and higher only. Net, no extras, immediate shipping in 4" inch pots. $15.00 plus $5.00 shipping = ($20.00). Superstition Iris Gardens.
