'Marlene Ahlburg' (Jennifer Hewitt, R. 1983) Seedling MA2/l. SIB (28 chrom. diploid), 33" (84 cm), Midseason bloom. Standards dark purple-red (RHS 77A); lighter purple-red (72B) styles; Falls rich red-purple (near 77A), yellowish signal with white edge, blue-violet flash below signal. 'Sparkling Rose' X 'Polly Dodge'. Schoeppinger Irisgarten 1986.
