1991, Stahly

'Four Winds' (Harold Stahly, R. 1990). Seedling 8-49-A. SIB, 32" (81 cm), Midseason bloom. Standards medium blue (RHS 97D); style arms medium blue, deep aqua midrib; falls medium blue (96D), veined slightly darker, yellow green signal blending to short spray pattern and dark blue halo; ruffled, flared and arched. Super Ego X Sally Kerlin. Stahly 1991.

From AIS Bulletin #281 April 1991 Introducing FOUR WINDS (Stahly '91) SIB, 32", M. Mid to light blue ruffled self (RHS 96D, slightly deeper center of falls), style arms same with deep aqua midrib. Yellowgreen signal blends to a short white spray pattern. Short standards over 1" wide are carried 60° above horizontal; round, flaring, ruffled falls are over 2" wide, making a blocky flower. The color approaches "true" blue. One or two branches. Sdlg. 8-49-A: Sally Kerlin X Superego. $30.00. Harold Stahly.
