From AIS Bulletin #217 April 1975 Introducing WINK (Gatty) E, 12". A-I-A X sib A-I-C. Closely related to Starry Eyed, but of an entirely different form and aspect. Pure white standards and falls. There is a conspicuous semi-circular spot of steeplechase blue in the falls, the spot separating at the tip of the white beard. Conic to upright standards, flared wide and ruffled falls. The narrow foliage, flower color and pattern make it look like a bearded version of a California native iris! Two ECs '73. HC '73. (#C68B.) $7.50. Keith Keppel. |
