'Wine Spritzer' (Virginia Messick, R. 1996). Seedling #91-29. SDB, 9" (23 cm), Early bloom. Standards lavender rose; falls pinkish rose, wine spot; beards light blue; ruffled. ('Sherlock' x 'Inflamed') X 'Clay's Caper.' Messick 2001. Honorable Mention 2004.

From AIS Bulletin #321 April 2001 Introducing WINE SPRITZER (V. Messick, 2001) SDB 9" M91-29 (Sherlock x Inflamed) X Clay's Caper. A multi colored SDB with ruffled, lavender rose standards. Nice round flaring falls with a wine spot and a wide rim of rose, finished off with blue beard. Blooms and increases very freely. $12.50. Messick Iris Garden.
