'Tiger Rouge' (Earl Roberts, R. 1974) Seedling# 70R11F. SDB, 14" (56 cm), Early midseason bloom. Standards light grey-violet; falls pinkish toned with dark grey-violet spot, tiger stripes surrounding smoky tangerine beard; pinkish lavender style crests. Seedling# 68R9: ( 'Amber Shadow' x 'Lenna M') X seedling# 67R29: (seedling# 65R27 x Zickler pink amoena). Roberts 1974.

From AIS Bulletin #214 July 1974 Introducing TIGER ROUGE. 14", 70R11F: ((68R9 x (67R29: 65R27 pink x Zickler pink amoena SDB). One visitors like as a novelty or dislike intensely. The rouge is in the pinkish lavender crests; tiger stripes surround the smoky tangerine beard. Cupped S. are light gray-violet; flaring F. have a darker gray-violet spot; all petals have pinkish tones. $5.00. Roberts.
