Standards icy white, center area dotted light violet, wide pale violet band; style arms pale gray-white; falls white, gray violet outer band, violet plicata dots and lines inside margin, darker violet plicata line from beard to near edge, fine olive veins over haft; beards white tipped orange; ruffled; pronounced sweet fragrance. Seedling# D143A: ('Tweety Bird' x seedling# B244A: ('Garden Gnome' x 'First Alert')) X 'Rebus'. Mid-America 2005. Honorable Mention 2007.

From Mid-America Garden catalog, 2005: SURROUNDED - SOB, 12" (30 cm), Midseason. White beards are brushed bright orange on top and Surrounded by soft, pastel plicata patterning. White standards have very wide pale slate-violet plicata bands that blend to silver-gray margins. Greenish white falls have a network of greenish violet veins over them. The space between these veins is sanded pale violet. Surrounded has smaller, compact little flowers that draw one in for a closer look. Take note of the plicata patterning and then imagine it in darker, more dramatic colors. This W type patterning will be interesting to develop further.
