From AIS Bulletin #257 April 1985 Introducing STRAW HAT-Sdlg. 80-11-3. 12". Don't know if the form or the fragrance is the more exciting feature. Has short, round, extravagantly ruffled petals with heavy substance. Upright standards are light lemon yellow with a green rib. Horizontal falls are pale lemon with an intense green-gold spot. White beards are tipped orange. The strong lemon-lime scent really carries. We've set pods. Others have found fertile pollen. $10.00. Kirkland Iris Garden. |
