'Quilting Party' (Lucille Kavan by J. Ennenga, R. 1976) Seedling# 28-67-1. SDB, 10-12" (25-30 cm), Midseason bloom. White ground plicata with red-violet feather stitching around edge; white beard tipped yellow and violet deep in throat and violet at outer end. 'Dale Dennis X 'Knotty Pine'. Ennenga 1977. Honorable Mention 1979.

From AIS Bulletin #225 Spring 1977 Introducing QUILTING PARTY (Kavan '77). SDB, 10-12", EM. This ruffled white ground plicata has clearcut red-violet markings on the edges of the standards and falls which resemble the feather stitching on grandma's quilt. Beard is white, tipped yellow and violet. Vigorous grower and long bloom season. HC '76. $5.00. Ennenga's Iris Garden.
