Standards dark purple, darker in center, fine dark blue veins; style arms dark purple; falls claret purple, darker diffuse plum spot around beard, blue violet flash at end of beard; beards white tipped tangerine; pronounced spicy fragrance.

From Mid-America Garden catalog, 2008: PROWLER (Black 08) SDB Early Midseason 12” (30 cm). Iridescent claret-purple flowers are covered with a network of fine navy texture veins.
