'Pogo' (Geddes Douglas, R. 1953). SDB, 12" (30 cm). Midseason to late bloom. Bright yellow self, mahogany spot on falls ('Golden Hind' x 'Yellow Jewel') X I. pumila yellow. Honorable Mention 1957, High Commendation Royal Horticultural Society-British Iris Society 1959. Fairmount, Brentwood 1954.

NOTE: Registered as IB, but considered SDB. 'Pogo'.

From Walter Marx Gardens catalog 1962: POGO Each 85c. Everyone falls in love with this sprightly little fellow. Color is orange-yellow with a big dark mahogany red patch on the falls. Really different. 10 inches.
Fairmount 1954 catalog gives "POGO (Douglas 1954) E. Bright and cheery, this one is aclear yellow with a red thumb print in the center of the falls, ^ giving great color contrast. 15 in."
