Hybridizer's Coment - 'Moods of Storm Bay' (2020). Seedling: B-03-06: (Cat's Eye x Trust in Dreams'). There's a storm brewing in the centre of this seedling (B-03-06: 'Cat's Eye' x 'Trust in Dreams')! Storm Bay is located at the mouth of the Derwent River and is Hobart's main port access. Abel Tasman first tried to anchor there in 1642 but was forced back out to sea due to the ferocity of the storm. He later named the bay Storm Bay in honor of its stormy disposition. 'Moods of Storm Bay' is a very robust seedling showing a very strong link to it's seed parent,'Cat's Eye'. It has classic clean rounded lines and is a blooming machine. It has dramatic presence in a clump! This seedling will reach 30-35cm in height and will flower from mid-season, late into the season with 3-4 buds per stem. The base of each fan is tinged purple. This variety will be added to our 2020... |
