'Manhattan Blues' (Hooker Nichols, R. 1980). Seedling# 7628A. SDB, 14" (36 cm). Midseason to late bloom. Tailored medium blue; self beard. 'Tan Lace' X 'Laced Lemonade'. Hillcrest Iris 1981.

From AIS Bulletin #241 April 1981 Introducing MANHATTAN BLUES (Nichols '81) SOB, #7628A, 14", M-L. Very tailored medium to light blue self. Closed standards, wide falls. Fertile both ways. A fine garden and exhibition iris. (Tan Lace X Laced Lemonade). $5.00. Hillcrest Iris Gardens.
