■(SDB) 'Lilliput'

1953, Douglas

'Lilliput' (Geddes Douglas, R. 1953). SDB, 15" (38 cm). Early to late bloom. Standards light lobelia blue; falls same overlaid deep lobelia blue; white beard. 'Helen McGregor' X pumila blue. Highly Commended Royal Horticultural Society - British Iris Society 1959. Fairmount 1953.

Note: Originally registered IB 'Lilliput' but now classed SDB.

From Walter Marx Gardens catalog 1962: LILLIPUT (Douglas 1953). Ruffled fragrant blue-violet flowers nicely flared and of good substance accented by blue spot on falls and white beard.
