1971, Brown

'Knockout' ( Alta Brown, R. 1970). Seedling# M1405-3. SDB, 10-11" (25-28 cm), Early bloom. Standards pale greenish cream, near white at edge; falls smooth mustard yellow; flax blue beard. 'Zing' X 'Gingerbread Man'. Brown's Iris Garden 1971. Honorable Mention 1972.

From AIS Bulletin #201 April 1971 Introducing KNOCKOUT. 10-11". E. Standards are very pale greenish cream, near white; rounded falls flare horizontally and are smooth solid mustard color (no spot pattern); bright blue beard is full and bushy. Perfect form and beautiful color contrast. Only a few to release this year. No. M 1405-3 (Zing X Gingerbread Man). $10.00. Brown's Iris Garden.
