From AIS Bulletin #214 July 1974 Introducing HAMMERED COPPER. 13", 72411: ((Mandarin Jewel x 68R9: (Amber Shadow x Lenna M.). Here is a real jewel from our pink by-products. Judging from this year's seedlings, this may be a better breeder than Dove Wings, throwing clean colors with no haft marks. Domed S., light pinkish tan with lavender base; flared F. deep copper, lighter area at the clean hafts; beards heavy tangerine with hint of blue at base. A completely new color for this class of irises. HC 1972. $10.00. Roberts. |
