1994, Smith

'Gemstar' (Marky Smith, R. 1992). Seedling 89-03A. SDB, 12" (31 cm). Early midseason bloom. Standards medium dark violet blue (RHS 89C); style arms cream; falls darker violet blue (89A) with pale veining in center, lavender white wire rim and shoulders, white hafts and star tips below beard; beards white, tipped yellow orange in throat; ruffled. 'Ripple Chip' X 'Coalbucket'. Aitken's Salmon Creek 1994. Honorable Mention 1996; Award of Merit 1998.
