From Mid-America Garden catalog, 2006: FRENETIC - SDB, 13" (33 cm), Early-Midseason. Frenetic is a bit like looking at a closely patterened checkered shirt; the eye doesn't know where to focus. Ground color is peachy-butter. Standards have wide, nearly solid plicata bands of dark red-plum which are stitched with fine darker veins overall. Midribs are darker red-plum. Falls have similar markings except wider at hafts and narrowing as they progress downward. Centers are lined and dotted dark red-plum. Markings are variable from flower to flower and season to season. Unique beards are white topped with a thin layer of dark sienna and then lighter root beer on top of that. WILD! Sdlg. L217A: Scholar X Dynamic. $18.00. |
