1989, Byers

'Darkling' ( Monty Byers, R. 1988). Seedling E33-107. SDB, height 13" (33 cm). Early to late bloom and rebloom. Standards deep violet; Falls deeper velvety violet; blue beard. ' Third Charm' X 'Jewel Baby'. Moonshine Gardens 1989.

From Moonshine Gardens catalog, 1989: DARKLING (SDB) 13" E-L. E33-107: A deep velvety violet bitone with blue beards. Very similar to its sib CINDERS in vigor, form and coloring but doesn't have the reddish glow. It does seem to be a little earlier and more willing with its rebloom; planted last July in WA it bloomed in August! Very pod fertile at least. $10.00
