'Dark Spark' ( David Sindt, R. 1967). Seedling D700. SDB, height 11" (28 cm), Early bloom. Standards bright full violet; Falls blackish violet with bright full violet edge, violet beard. 'Black Forest' X 'Sulina'. Riverdale 1968. Honorable Mention 1971.

From AIS Bulletin #189 April 1968 Introducing DARK SPARK. SDB. 11". (Sdlg. D700. BLACK FOREST X SULINA) Bright deep violet standards; blackish violet falls edged same color as standards. Gives the impression of a black signal patch. Deep violet beard and stylearms. Flowers well-proportioned and jaunty in appearance. $7.50. Riverdale Iris Gardens.
