■(SDB) 'Caramel Candy

1975, Hamblen

'Caramel Candy' (Melba Hamblen, R. 1974). Seedling M70-1A. SDB, height 12" (30 cm), Early midseason bloom. Standards caramel brown (between Nickerson 5y 8/12 and 5y 7/10); Falls same with light olive infusion (5y 5/6); violet beard with hairs tipped dark yellow. Yellow sibling to 'Tom Thumb' X 'Gingerbread Man'. Mission Bell 1975. Honorable Mention 1976.

From AIS Bulletin #217 April 1975 Introducing CARAMEL CANDY. EM, 12". Sparkling brown (between Nickerson 5Y 8/12 and 5Y 7/10) with falls slightly deeper toned and infused with light olive. Beard is violet (lOPB 4"10) with hairs tipped dark yellow. Excellent, lightly ruffled form; cupped stands; horizontally flaring falls. One branch, three buds. (Regards x Blue Canary sib) X Gingerbread Man. #M70-1A. $7.50. Mission Bell.
