From AIS Bulletin #16, July 1962. Introducing AQUA GREEN (Reed blue pumila X Capitola), SDB-oncobred, 12" $7.50. Standards gray with greenish rib, falls close to 7.5Y 7/9, strong greenish yellow, with signal lOY 6/7, dark greenish yellow, actually olive green. The falls are the greenest yet seen on bearded iris, quite velvety, beard bronze tipped. Very hardy, a prolific increaser. Earl Roberts. |
From Melrose Gardens catalog 1968: AQUA GREEN (Roberts) F. light yellow green, S. pale violet in cooler climates. A Capitola by a pumila seedling. It definitely has the " Mohr Form" in miniature. A tiny Lady Mohr. 1.00. |
