'Actor' (Paul Black, R. 2011) Seedling# Q85A. SDB, 15.5" (39 cm). Early to midseason bloom. Standards dark burgundy, darker midrib and veins over upper ½, small buff patch at base heavily sanded burgundy; style arms dark burgundy, mid-tan edges; falls dark burgundy with darker veins, mid-yellow patch around beard dotted and veined dark brown, small violet flash at end of beard; beards white base, hairs tipped light-violet blending to old gold in lower half. 'Ghost Ship' X 'Fido' sibling. Mid-America 2012.

From Mid-America Garden catalog, 2012: (Black ‘12) SDB Early-Midseason 15.5” (39cm). Rich dark wine with white plicata spray around beards. It is a plicata but with white ground color showing only at base of standards and fall hafts. Very showy clumps. Whould be an interesting parent with Ghost Ship as one parent. Strong growth. Sdlg. Q85A: Ghost Ship X Fido sib. $18.00.
