2008, Ghio

'Fireflow' (Joseph Ghio, R. 2008) Seedling #HP-144F2. CA, 12" (30 cm). Late midseason bloom. Standards black red; style arms brassy gold; falls black red, hairline ochre band. Seedling #FP-260P, 'Sizzling Pitch' pod parent, X 'Now Showing'. Bay View 2008.

According to Deborah Cole, 'Fireflow' and 'Now Showing' are extremely similar. However, the style crests on 'Fireflow' never seem anything but bright yellow; the style crests on 'Now Showing, especially in a fresh flower, seem to have a bit of red infusion, giving them a soft orange impression.
