From AIS Bulletin #277 April 1990 Introducing ZULA (Sdlg. 82-L1) MTB, 22". This lovely miniature tall is subtle and uniquely handsome. Tawny light brown standards rise above fluted white falls veined and edged in brown. This is a long lasting flower of excellent form on a well branched stem. A real winner, just like its namesake. Chickee X (Nambe x Quirk). $15.00. Riverdale Iris Gardens.

• MTB 'Zula' was blooming at the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum, zone 4b, approximately May 25 - June 9, in 2017. It also is noted that it has very dark Purple Based Foliage at the base of the leaves at least during and after flowering. -- HollyJohnson2017-04-01 - 06 Aug 2017
