1975, Welch

'Ornate Pageant' (Walter Welch, R. 1974). Seedling #B-313. MTB, 18" (46 cm), Early midseason bloom. Standards yellow; falls red-brown with yellow border; orange beard. Seedling #T-306: diploid variegata X 'Pale Amoena'. Riverdale Iris 1975. Honorable Mention 1978.

From AIS Bulletin #217 April 1975 Introducing ORNATE PAGEANT. MTB, 18" $8.00. Sdlg. B-313: (T-306: [diploid variegata] X Pale Amoena). Another of Pale Amoena's kids, this one is a nice variegata with yellow stds. and red-brown falls. Orange beard. Riverdale Iris Gardens.
