1958, Carlson 'Orchid Butterfly' (Gerhard Carlson, R. 1958). Seedling #56-1. MTB, 26" (66 cm), Midseason bloom. Color Class-V1L, Orchid self, faint yellow edge; tangerine beard. 'Pink Opal' X ('Mme Chéreau' x blue seedling). Carlson 1958. NOTE: The Median Iris Society considers this to be a border bearded, but no record of the reclassification has been found in the official AIS registry.
