'Southern Union' ( Tony Huber, R. 2007) Sdlg. 98-98. SPEC-X, 28-31" (70-80 cm), Midseason late bloom. Standards red purple (RHS 72A) veined darker, yellow base extending upward; style arms pink to red purple (72B), borders white with yellow; Falls upper part yellow, edges darker red purple blends from (73A) to (59B), purple veins throughout, yellow in throat. I. virginica collected in South Carolina X I. hexagona seed from SIGNA.
