Iris x mcmurtriei (sophenensis x danfordiae) This is the botanical name designating varieties resulting from this cross both first generation on through F2, F3, etc. Note these hybrids can be recognized by the Standards being reduced in size (intermediate between the large standards of sophensis and the bristles of danfordiae.
