Golden Giant' (P. Nijssen, 1971). Standards chrome-yellow (RHS l5C,D), falls Indian-yellow (RHS 17B), blotch tangerine-orange (RHS 24B), bridge Chinese-orange (RHS 16B). 'Golden Giant' X 'Goudstuk'. --KAVB. A hybrid Dutch Iris.

  • Golden Giant can't be it's own parent. Error there in pod parent. -- PaulArcher - 2015-03-21
  • Note the parentage is as stated in the KAVB's Checklist of Miscellaneous Bulbs. One hypothesis is that the KAVB allows the reuse of cultivar names. Perhaps the old 'Golden Giant' was improved by this cross and a new 'Golden Giant' replaced it. -- BobPries - 2015-03-25 See 'Golden Giant'
